You will get back from them what you project. We all know that we are ‘reading’ other people all the time. What we feel they are exuding, effects how we behave around them. How do you want people to behave you around you? How do you want people to treat you?

You are trapping yourself with your own thoughts and behavior. In order to have a different life experience you need to choose to project to yourself and the world more of what you do want. Your thought space is fully consumed with whatever thoughts you are involved with all day. You need to make room for better thoughts if you are going to have them.

Residents awarded prizes for gardens

0 Comments | Derby Evening Telegraph, Jul 14, 2010

TALENTED gardeners have been awarded prizes for their efforts in a competition.

Green-fingered residents were given Pounds 30 gift vouchers in a contest organised by homes provider Amber Valley Housing. Residents were invited to put forward their gardens to be judged.

The winners of the best garden was Martyn and Janet Gration, of Heanor.

Mrs Gration said: “When we moved here the grass and weeds were quite tall. My husband worked really hard and laid pathways, pebbled areas and created colourful raised beds.

“We are going to spend our vouchers on some winter flowering pansies to keep the colour going through the winter months.”

The winner of the best pot or basket was James Burgin of Loscoe; best communal garden went to Douglas Gregory, from Holloway; and the best edible garden winner was Michael Green, of Ripley. An additional award of Pounds 50 went to Ironville Allotments for Celebrating Community Involvement.

Therefore, one can store his/her essential oils for longer.

Are plastic bottles appropriate to keep ones aromatherapy products like essential oils, hydrosols, carrier oils, etc? This is a question that one most often comes through when purchasing aromatherapy bottles. There are two schools of thought on this. The first believes that essential oils are concentrated liquids. Hence, they can easily dissolve the plastic container. Once the plastic dissolves in the oil, it is no longer pure.

The other school of thought is of the view that plastic containers do not do any damage to the aromatherapy products. Besides, they are available cheap. Plastic jars are available in two versions in the market- single walled and double walled design. Single walled is the conventional plastic jar. The double walled plastic jar looks more stylish and protects the content from extreme temperature changes. Another advantage of this is that the cream or any other aromatherapy product can be taken out up to the last pint.

Style as we mentioned is an important part played by the aromatherapy bottles.

Kalyan civic official held taking Rs15 lakh bribe

0 Comments | DNA : Daily News & Analysis; Mumbai, Feb 23, 2010 | by Sharma, Somendra

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested an executive engineer of the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) while accepting a bribe of Rs15 lakh from a developer in Thane on Monday.

The arrested engineer has been identified as Sunil Joshi, who is associated with the building proposal department of the corporation. The ACB also arrested his driver, identified as Ranjit kumar Gupta.

According to the police, Joshi was arrested after a complaint was filed by Dilip Ghadak, a doctor and builder from Kalyan.

In 2004-05, Ghadak was given 28 acres of land of Kalyan Sports Club for re-development. The land belonged to KDMC. “In order to fulfill the corporation rules, Joshi allegedly took Rs60 lakh from Ghadak. Since Ghadak wanted to construct a swimming pool, Joshi asked for another Rs60 lakh for its permission,” said an ACB officer.

The officer added that Joshi allegedly demanded Rs15 lakh in cash immediately and the remaining amount after a month.

Ghadak lodged a complaint with the ACB. “A trap was laid at Joshi’s office in the KDMC building. Joshi and Gupta were caught taking a bribe of Rs15 lakh at 1.30pm

Devalued, as in buying power: cheap dollars. Achieved with little effort: a cheap victory; cheap laughs. Of or considered of small value: in wartime, when life was cheap. Of poor quality; inferior: a cheap toy. Worthy of no respect; vulgar or contemptible: a cheap gangster. Stingy; miserly.

As you can see above 1 is good being inexpensive, the only hitch here is inexpensive quality is usually more often than not related to point 5 being poor quality.

Buy it, use it and throw it away

Our economy may be focused on disposable products now like cameras you get for a cheap price, take pictures and throw away, disposable plates, spoons and forks you can use for a meal and throw away and I?m sure many other items come to mind but we don?t want to compare these to your business website.

I have talked to countless people that are very frustrated after spending $400 to $1000 for a website that?s useless to them.

Get lustrous hair in the rains !

0 Comments | DNA : Daily News & Analysis; Mumbai, Jul 21, 2010 | by Tahseen, Ismat

While the rain in Spain may fall gently on the plains there’s certainly a lot of it on the roads in Mumbai. And along with health woes that come with the season, the rains can also have adverse effects on your hair.

Avoid these problems

Agrees cosmetologist and skin expert Dr Jamuna Pai. “In the monsoons due to the humidity, the scalp remains sticky, making it a magnet for dirt and dust. So it is essential that the scalp be regularly cleaned so as to avoid any complications. Increased humidity causes multiplication of the fungus that thrives in this condition. This increases the incidence of dandruff and sebhorric dermatitis. Lice infestation is also common since lice breed during this season. Hair loss can happen due to any of the above reasons,” she says.

No-nos

Dr Pai says one must not use heavy styling products. “When they come in contact with water they tend to clump and lose their purpose. Also, they effectively become dust magnets making the hair knotted, messy and dirty,” she explains.

Pai also warns that the clouds offer no protection cover. “Do not for one moment think that the clouds prevent the ultraviolet rays of the sun from causing damage. If your hair comes in contact with rain water use a mild shampoo and condition it to rid your hair of the unwanted knots and tangles. Use a suitable conditioner to ease the process. Post this, pat your hair dry and allow it to dry naturally. Massage your scalp with oil to prevent a dry scalp. This will prevent dandruff and also make the hair healthier and less brittle,” she adds.

A study by Dr Yash Kamat (Princeton) shows Indians have the best hair so here are tips to follow…

Dr Pai’s home remedies:

For a dry scalp:

Take a cup of freshly grated coconut. Blend it in a mixer with a glass of water. Strain the mixture and apply the thick milk not only on the scalp but also all over the length of the hair

How To Construct Basic Chords on the Piano

The easiest way to start learning how to build chords is to practice their constructions in the key of C Major. You’re just playing all white keys.

All you have to do is play every other white key to create a 3-note chord. A 3-note chord is called a triad. A 4-note chord is called a 7th chord. And a 5-note chord is called a 9th chord.

Now you have the option of playing your chords in one hand or you may use both hands! It depends upon the sound you want to produce.

How to Improvise Melodies

There’s something irresistible about a real melody. If you can convince the listener that they’re hearing a melody when you improvise, they will stay riveted to every note.

Well, you can – and it’s not really that difficult. The one element that is common to almost all good melodies is: repetition.

To your success,
